Local company, LMS Restoration, mobilized their National Catastrophe Response team on Wednesday morning to head to New Orleans in response to Hurricane Isaac.

LMS began receiving calls at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday from the New Orleans area as Hurricane Isaac dumped storm surge flooding and heavy rainfall on the city and northern Gulf Coast.  Isaac is a Category 1 hurricane moving at 6 mph.  With the hurricane’s slow movement, persistent strong winds and heavy rains are causing flooding to buildings, tree damage and power outages.  As of Wednesday, over 530,000 customers were without power, the majority of which were in metro New Orleans.

LMS, with their fleet of semi tractor trailers equipped with generators and the latest drying and mitigation equipment, will be responding to several New Orleans high-rise buildings with blown windows and flooding issues.  However, they will be there for the duration of the recovery efforts to assist businesses and homeowners in the entire Gulf Coast area in restoring their properties back to pre-hurricane condition.
